Meet Your Teachers

Guy Douglas and Simona Asinovski are the co-creators of The Sound Healing Symphony, a mass sound bath event featuring the country's leading sound healing musicians, which regularly gathers 1,300 people at each event. They've been featured everywhere from The Today Show to Business Insider.

Meet Guy

"I've been involved in sharing the healing power of these instruments for over 15 years. For me, music has always had a healing component to it. It was when I first heard the sounds of the gong and Tibetan bowls. That's when it all locked in. I believe that through the power of these sounds, we all have the ability to tap into our subconscious mind and heal some of these dormant pathways, and help facilitate the opening of the heart. It feels incredibly important to me to share this practice now more than ever, especially during these ever-changing times."

Meet Simona

"I come from a culture of anxiety—I struggle with it myself, and I'm determined to overcome it. I believe that everyone can learn to experience more peace, clarity and insight through meditation.

I stumbled upon sound meditation in 2011, and have been hooked ever since. What started as a regular practice of listening to sound baths has morphed into a daily meditation practice.

My favorite instrument is the monolina. I'm also a music producer and love using those skills to create delightful, layered sound baths."

Course Schedule

This course includes an online video portal & five live-streamed classes. You can choose to take the classes with the group or do them on your own time. To accommodate our students, we will offer two times— 3pm PST & 6:30pm PST.

If you can’t make it live — no worries, we’ll record it for you.

#1: Sound Bath Basics | February 27th (60 min)

Learn the very basics of how to create a solid sound bath. We'll start with how to hold space, we'll identify the critical elements of a good sound bath, and then we'll lay out our structure and flow.

#2: Music Theory | February 29th (90 minutes hour class)

Guest lecturer and epic music teacher Sarah Glass will walk us through the basics of music theory. We'll also talk about HARMONICS (a key sound healing concept).

#3: Music Theory +++ | March 5th (60 min)

We will review the music theory concepts that we learned, particularly around harmonics & the overtones series (this takes time to sink in!). We will also discuss tuning systems.

#4: Instruments | March 12th (60 min)
Which instruments should you get? What are your options? What do you really need, and what should you look for? We'll discuss snagging your instruments here.

#5: Leveling Up As a Sound Bath Practitioner | March 19th (60 minutes)

How do you market yourself as a practitioner? How do you keep a community going? What do you want to look for in a venue....and should you mic up your instruments?

Taking the Sound Bath Training course with Simona and Guy was incredible! It was a transformative experience, and inspired me to share this practice with as many people as possible. They were friendly and welcoming, and shared their knowledge and expertise with humility and aplomb. They thoughtfully introduced us to the instruments, taught us how to structure the bath and hold space for others, and created space for us to give and receive sound baths from each other. They are amazing teachers and this is an incredible course - I couldn't think of a better way to learn more about the healing power of sound and how to share this gift with others.
